We would love you to join us on a Sunday, or during the week. The information below will apply once we are able to reopen St Stephen’s for worship.
Our main Sunday service is at 10:30am. Everyone is welcome to join us to worship Jesus, and share in warm and welcoming refreshments after the service.
Every Sunday, after the first half hour together, our children aged 0-11 (end of year 6) go to age related Sunday School groups. We use Bible focused materials to help the children get to know and enjoy Jesus for themselves.
We have a clear child protection policy in place, and work to ensure that every child thoroughly enjoys their group.
St Stephen’s employs a part time Youth Pastor who, together with her team of helpers, offers Christian support to young people associated with our church family. Our young people meet on a Sunday morning at the same time as our Sunday School groups.
We meet as a church family to pray for the needs of our congregation, our parish, and our community on the last Friday of each month at 8:00pm in the church.
We have midweek groups on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and on Friday afternoons, for people to meet together and study the Bible in more detail.
There is clearly a spiritual battle going on over the young people in our society. The church is called to engage in that battle through prayer – especially prayer by church congregations, and their leaders, gathered together. It is time for us to recognize the state of God’s people and, as Nehemiah did, to weep, to repent and to pray. This call to join the Nehemiah Prayer gathering is an invitation to people to be part of the fight back, declaring to the enemy that he is to back down because the church is enforcing the victory won by the Lord Jesus on the Cross. Refreshments are at 7.30 and the prayer meeting will be from 8 to 9.30 pm. These meetings are held once every two months and the planned dates are:
Wednesday 13th May
Wednesday 8th July
Wednesday 9th September
Wednesday 11th November
If we are still closed on any of these dates we may be holding a virtual prayer meeting on Zoom, in which case details for logging in will be available on request.
